Remember when Fishermen's Village wanted to build two 100 ft tall buildings and residents flocked to the streets to protest?
1,666 supporters signed the petition - Keep Punta Gorgeous - Say NO to 100 ft buildings in less than three weeks.
Numerous residents spoke against the new LDRs and Comp Plan that called for 100 ft tall buildings and densities up to 50 residences per acre
Council member Dr Lux questioned why the the others did not want to get the residents' input since there was NO RUSH to vote that day.
Note that in January council even agreed to limit the total height to 80 ft but this was disregarded and they passed 100-130 ft heights in the summer when many people were away.
