In the last three years the tax rolls have gone up by 34% with NO reduction in the millage rate.
That means we are paying 3.95% of a higher and higher amount each year.
Why do you keep RAISING taxes?
At the end Sept 2022 spending in the General Fund was $24,310,058.
Now, just two years later you are telling us that you need 195% of that, $47,378,974.
Inflation has only been about 6% in the two years. Not 195%
You have voted to increase spending for your personal budget for City Council to be 162% of what it was two years ago, from $141,373 increased to $228,240.
Why were we told that employees would be cut if taxes were not raised, but in reality 13 new positions are being added?
